Learn the art of leather crafting from a master. Leather crafting, just like any other skill, requires not only practice but also the correct techniques upon which to properly build those skills.

Module II proposes to describe, substantiate and discuss the phases leading to the elaboration of semi-finished products or "crust" oriented to meet the requirements of the finishing factories (articles for shoes and leather goods, car upholstery and furniture, clothing, etc. ...) of tanned hides and skins.

The bespoke shoemaking courses are designed for students who want to acquire the skills to turn their creative ideas into a final product. The program is composed of three stages to be completed over the course of a year. The first, introductory stage – called Apprentice – is for students who wish to acquire the basic skill-set and knowledge-base of hand-made shoemaking. This program lasts 10 weeks. The Artigiano Level is a semester long program (that includes the Apprentice level) which enable students to have a complete shoemaking profile.

Scuola del Cuoio’s Long-term Programs provide students with a fully immersive experience in the traditional craft of leatherworking.
Courses are designed with a focus on the technical aspects of bag making, particularly in the area of pattern-making and construction process. The aim is to provide students with the skills to realize their ideas and creativity into an actual finalized product.
LongTerm Programs are offered at the Apprentice Level (10 weeks long) and Artigiano Level (semester long) to students who wish to undertake a practical program to become leather artisans.
